If your company has a high risk business model MCC additional information is required in your application
What is MCC?
MCC stand for Merchant Category Codes and are used by credit card companies to classify purchases according to the type of merchant.
MCCs are used for a variety of purposes in credit and debit card transactions, if you know that your business model has a high risk MCC (such as travelling or event tickets), always add the below in your card application.
- You need 6 months of transaction and chargeback history. If the application is rejected on this basis, you are always welcome to apply again later when you have at least 6 months of history.
